Synopsis: Ed has reached deep within the Fifth Laboratory at last. Ed learns that the whole place is one study ground of living humans, created by the military for research regarding the Philosopher's Stone. Ed begins to leave the lab, leaving behind all of the red water after seeing and learning the truth..until Tucker proposes to complete the Philosopher's Stone by using those materials for Ed.
Mistranslation
"Grand's" speech about the humans not evolving after a thousand years is technically correct, but originally he stated that only after a few hundred years they have yet to change. Not thousands due to the amount of time he's actually lived and seen things.
Edit
The moment the show comes back from commercial break, the FMA logo is in the wrong spot in the dub. It appears on the right side. It originally appeared on the left side.
Side Note
When Slicer is killed by Lust, he says "Edward Elric..I want you.." before he dies. Pointing out how ridiculously bad on the mind this sounds considering all he says in the original is "Edward Elric..I.." and dies. Silly FUNimation and their unintentional innuendo. Also, anyone else wondering why Ed's clapping his hands to transmute the prisoners..when he has a BUNCH of transmutation circles surrounding him? Plot hole!
Dialouge Removal
Yes, here's something to point out. Just as Ed is clapping his hands, Al original calls out to Ed to try and stop him. The dub doesn't have Al call to Ed. It just doesn't sound right. As if Al doesn't want to do anything to stop Ed. Afterwards, Ed stomps onto the red water and his alchemic reaction goes berserk. Originally he let out a strained scream. However, dub Ed was completely silent.
Dialogue Edit
Lust mentions that Ed's powers would be equal to that of a god, or something of the sort. In the original she just mentions that his powers are becoming too much to handle and are dangerous.
Cut
Ed recalls Scar blowing Grand's head up from the inside. This memory is cut out. Quite well, I must say.
Thoughts
Episode didn't turn out bad at all. Despite what's reported, it's handled quite well.
