Thoughts
Here we learn about the terrible past of the Eastern Rebellion involving the military fighting against Ishbal. Plus we learn of Dr. Marcoh and his past involving his deals with the military. Though this episode
does seem slightly sad at some points, it's a rather humorous episode. Dub-wise, the episode was handled very well.
Goof Up
When the video focuses down on the Eastern City Station, the title of the episode is put "Fullmetal vs. Flame" is placed in instead of it informing us that the building belongs to the Eastern military side. This goof up only occurs in the TV broadcast of the English dub. It's supposed to say "East City Eastern Command Center."
Side Note
It seems they're going to continue refering to King Bradley as the Fuhrer rather than assuming the name King was a title. Good to see they're going to keep up with the Fuhrer title.
Goof Up
Uh..Ed called Riza by the title "Sir" rather than "Ma'am." Last I checked, Riza was female. o_o;
Video Edit
Shame that the first edit I have to report is a rather minor one and slipped right past me without noticing. Before the commercial break, the Fullmetal Alchemist logo appeared in the top left corner for some reason.
The original always has the logo on the bottom right. No clue why they did that.
Name Change?
Okay, what the hell? Now Maes refered to Hakuro by his actual name, Hakuro. The dub had earlier changed it to Haruko. So which name are you going with, FUNi?
Added Dialogue
In the ending scene, Scar is holding his latest victim by the head. Originally, he was simply screaming whereas the dub had him talk about how he'll be found and his killings will be put to an end. Rather pointless considering the guy was practically panicking.
Final Thoughts
A really nicely dubbed episode. Everything was kept pretty much in tact and I'm glad I didn't have too much to report on. :P
