Thoughts
We've got one hilarious episode here. Ed and Al find another person using Alchemy for themselves and for others this time, rather than against people (see last episode).
I found this one to be quite pleasing to see Al look back and hold high regard for Clara because of her reminding him of their mother. Plus the chief was hilarious.
Dub-wise, I'd say this is ANOTHER perfect episode. o_o
Change of Dialogue
When Al finds out Ed cheated during their card games and takes off after him, he shots at him, asking Ed to give him back everything he won. This wasn't
said in the original since it was simply a game for fun, not gambling. Small picking, yes. But hey, I gotta find SOMETHING. :P
Side Note
Anyone notice that the chief looks almost identical to Inspector Zenigata from Lupin the Third? I did a double take during this one when I first saw the Japanese
version due to the way he's drawn, the way he moves and how he chases after Psiren EXACTLY like how Zenigata chases Lupin. Also, I'm quite suprised
they kept in Ed's breast rub when he accidentally lands on Clara. XD
Change of Dialogue
Okay..Clara decided to go the way of the nuns..yet she danced around the topic of God in the dub. Is this making any sense? Originally she told the boys to
stop arguing "For it is against God's will." There wasn't any mention of God in the dub, and I fear they may end up dancing around the topic even further as
soon as Scar's history and Ishbal are brought into the picture. :\
Side Note
Here's another hilarious thing. Clara takes on three roles that fulfill male fantasies. A nurse, a nun, and a school teacher. Fan service, anyone?
Name Pronounciation
So here's Xen--what? They actually pronounced Xenotime right?! I had assumed they'd pronounce it as in like Zeeno, rather than Zeno. Hopefully they won't
bungle up any other names later on.
Final Thoughts
Not much to report on the dub, so that's good. This episode was great to begin with and the dub was as well. Good job, FUNimation.
