Synopsis: What is the meaning of a miracle? Or compassion? Is it right to leave a girl and her village in blissful ignorance, or take away all their comforts for the sake of telling the "truth"? These are the questions Ed and Al must face, as they battle against the false prophet Cornello, who is using the science of alchemy and parading it as acts of God.

Thoughts
This was a great episode to show off how Ed and Al work together and just how powerful Ed is. Not only that, but it showed what the effects religion can have on people who just rely on faith rather than doing things themselves. The dub was alot better than the first. Nothing was really changed at all, the voices got better (with the exception of Gluttony who was totally out of character). Al's voice is absolutely perfect, especially hearing him as a kid. Mainly because his voice actor is a kid. Ed's still requires adjusting. Vic Mignogna simply just can't bring Ed to life the way Romi Paku did. It showed in this episode. Hopefully he improves as time goes on. Gluttony sounds pretty bad. He doesn't have the grown up kid-like tone in his voice and constructed a sentence other than "Can I eat him?" which he shouldn't be doing. Other than that, this episode was just about flawless.

Music Change
Yes, Ready Steady Go is playing for the rest of the series' run on [adult swim], but that's not the reason this is listed. The episode was supposed to start off at where it left off in the first episode where Cornello recognizes why Ed has the stern title, Fullmetal Alchemist then go to the opening, and then the title. Instead, it went directly to the opening then the scene where we left off at and then episode title. Nitpicky, yes, but that's just about the only other change besides dialogue in the episode.

Change of Dialogue
For some reason, things have switched in this episode. We've gone from avoiding heavy talk and bashing of religion in the first episode, to Ed calling it a cult in this episode. When Ed went to correct Cornello about their plans, he originally wasn't sure if even having the Philosopher's Stone would return his limbs and Al's body. The dub had him state that he and Al didn't start a cult and lie about what was possible.

Change of Dialogue
Ed's exaggeration was changed again. This time he didn't make mention of how he was refered to as a "Ultra-Hyper Mega Chibi" but rather a "Short Pipsqueak." Real shame.
